Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Builder Hut. Site owners and template developers each have their own section below.

Last updated 26 July 2026

Site Policy

Builder Hut is operated as a sole proprietorship by Rakibul Islam Rafi, of Vatara, Dhaka, Bangladesh ("Builder Hut", "we", "us"). These Terms govern your use of builder-hut.com, app.builder-hut.com, and the services provided through them.

By creating an account or using the service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. What Builder Hut provides

Builder Hut is a hosted website and e-commerce site builder. It gives you a visual page editor, a template gallery, a design-system and component library, product and category management, data collections, HTML collections, order capture, AI-assisted authoring, hosting, and the ability to connect a custom domain.

We provide the tools and the hosting. The site you build, the content you publish, and the business you run on it are yours and are your responsibility.

2. Your account

Accounts are created and authenticated through Clerk, our identity provider. You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you provide and for everything that happens under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to hold an account. You may not share your credentials or let another person use your account.

You may invite other people to a site you own. Members you add can act on that site within the role you give them, and you remain responsible for what they do.

3. Plans, billing and payment

Builder Hut is offered on a subscription basis. Current pricing is BDT 1,845 per month or BDT 21,000 per year, and is shown on our pricing page before you commit.

Payments are processed by SSLCommerz. You are redirected to SSLCommerz to enter your payment details; Builder Hut never receives or stores your card number, CVV, or bank credentials. We record only the transaction reference, amount, currency, status, and the identifiers the gateway returns to us.

Subscriptions renew automatically for the period you selected until you cancel. If a renewal payment does not complete, your subscription enters a grace period. If it is still unpaid at the end of that period, the subscription is suspended and your published sites may stop being served.

Prices may change. We will give you notice before a change takes effect for your renewal.

4. Free trial

New accounts receive a 14-day free trial. No payment details are required to start it.

At the end of the trial you must subscribe to keep your site published. We do not charge you automatically at the end of a trial.

5. AI features and AI credits

Builder Hut includes AI-assisted authoring. AI usage is metered in credits, sold at BDT 2.00 per credit and purchased through SSLCommerz in the same way as a subscription.

AI features are powered by Amazon Bedrock. When you use them, your prompt, your conversation history, and a structural snapshot of your site (page names and URIs, short previews of element text, design tokens, and the field schemas and item counts of your data collections) are sent to the model. The values stored inside your data collections, your orders, and your customers’ personal details are not included in that snapshot.

AI output is generated automatically. We do not warrant that it is accurate, original, non-infringing, or fit for any particular purpose. You are responsible for reviewing anything the AI produces before you publish it.

Credits are consumed as you use the feature and are not transferable between accounts.

6. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload or create: your text, images, product data, page designs, and any custom code.

You grant us the licence we need to actually run the service — to store, reproduce, transmit, cache, back up, and publicly serve your content for the purpose of hosting and delivering your site, and to display your site in previews within the product.

You confirm that you have the rights to everything you upload, and that publishing it does not infringe anyone else’s intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.

7. Templates

Templates in the gallery are authored by third-party developers as well as by us. Applying a template copies its pages, components, collections, and design systems into your own site, after which they are yours to edit.

Templates ship with demo content so you can see the layout. Demo products, categories, and collection entries are placeholders. Replace or remove them before you go live — we are not responsible for demo content you leave published.

8. Your responsibilities as a site owner

This section matters more than any other in these Terms. When you publish a site with Builder Hut, you — not Builder Hut — are the party responsible to your visitors and customers.

  • You are the data controller for the personal information your site collects from its visitors and customers. Builder Hut processes that information on your behalf and under your instructions.
  • You must publish your own privacy notice on your site, describing what you collect and why.
  • Sites published with Builder Hut set analytics and functional cookies on your visitors’ devices. Builder Hut does not present a consent banner. If the law that applies to you or to your visitors requires consent for those cookies, obtaining it is your responsibility.
  • You must comply with the consumer protection, e-commerce, tax, and product-safety law that applies to what you sell and where you sell it.
  • You must not use the service to sell goods or services that are unlawful in your jurisdiction or your customers’.
  • Public data collections accept submissions from unauthenticated visitors. If you make a collection public, you are responsible for what people submit into it and for handling any personal information it receives.

9. Orders taken on your site

Builder Hut’s storefront checkout captures orders — customer name, phone number, optional email, and delivery and billing addresses — and records them for you. It does not process payment.

Collecting payment for orders placed on your site is entirely between you and your customer, using whatever method you arrange. Builder Hut is not a party to that transaction, does not hold funds, and has no role in fulfilment, refunds, or disputes arising from it.

10. Custom domains

You may connect a domain you own. You are responsible for registering and renewing it and for keeping its DNS records pointed correctly. If a domain lapses or its records change, your site may stop resolving.

11. Acceptable use

You may not use Builder Hut to:

  • publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, or that harasses or endangers anyone;
  • infringe intellectual property or privacy rights;
  • distribute malware, run phishing or fraud, or attempt to deceive visitors about who you are;
  • probe, scan, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or to another user’s data;
  • resell or sublicense the platform itself as your own site-building product;
  • circumvent usage limits, billing, or the AI credit system.

12. Connecting external tools

Builder Hut exposes an MCP endpoint that lets you connect an external AI client to your site data. If you choose to connect one, your site content is sent to that client and handled under that provider’s terms and privacy policy, not ours. Enabling such a connection is your decision and your responsibility.

13. Availability and support

We aim to keep the service available and to give reasonable notice of planned maintenance, but standard plans carry no uptime service level agreement. Service levels apply only where we have agreed them with you in writing as part of a custom development engagement.

Support is available at contact@builder-hut.com.

14. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the service at any time; cancellation is covered in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these Terms, that is being used unlawfully, or whose subscription remains unpaid after the grace period. Where the circumstances allow it, we will tell you first and give you an opportunity to put things right.

On termination your sites stop being served. Export anything you want to keep before you cancel.

15. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that content generated by AI features will be accurate or suitable for your use.

16. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Builder Hut is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary loss, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost sales, lost goodwill, or lost or corrupted data.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

17. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Builder Hut harmless against claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from your content, from goods or services you sell through your site, from your breach of these Terms, or from your handling of your visitors’ and customers’ personal information.

18. Changes

We may change the service and these Terms. When we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change materially affects your rights, give you notice through the product or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.

19. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. The courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to them.

20. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to contact@builder-hut.com, or by post to Rakibul Islam Rafi, Vatara, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Developer Policy

The Builder Hut developer portal is operated as a sole proprietorship by Rakibul Islam Rafi, of Vatara, Dhaka, Bangladesh ("Builder Hut", "we", "us"). These Terms govern your use of developer.builder-hut.com.

By creating a developer account you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the portal.

1. What the developer portal is

The developer portal lets you author website templates for the Builder Hut platform. You can build pages, components, design systems, and data and HTML collections, preview them with demo content, and submit them for publication to the Builder Hut template gallery.

The portal is an authoring tool. It is not a storefront, and it does not process orders or customer data.

2. Your developer account

Accounts are created and authenticated through Clerk. You are responsible for the accuracy of your details and for everything done under your account.

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction. Do not share your credentials.

3. Ownership of what you create

You keep ownership of the templates you author — your layouts, components, design systems, and the original assets you upload.

By submitting a template for publication you grant Builder Hut a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, review, adapt for technical compatibility, publicly display, and distribute that template through the Builder Hut platform and its template gallery, and to allow platform users to apply it to their own sites.

This licence exists so that we can actually run the gallery. It lasts while your template is listed, and continues for copies already applied to users' sites after it is delisted — those copies belong to the site owner and cannot be recalled.

4. What happens when someone applies your template

Applying a template copies its pages, components, collections, and design systems into the user's own site. From that point the copy is theirs to edit, and changes you make to your template afterwards do not propagate to sites that already applied it.

You should assume that anything you include in a published template — including demo content — will be copied into other people's live sites.

5. Demo content

Templates ship with demo products, categories, collection entries, and page copy so that the layout can be previewed. This demo content is copied into every site that applies your template.

  • Do not put real personal information into demo content — no real names, email addresses, phone numbers, or addresses, whether your own or anyone else's.
  • Do not use images, copy, logos, or brand assets you do not have the right to redistribute. Stock content must be licensed for redistribution inside a template, not merely for your own use.
  • Keep demo content obviously placeholder, so site owners replace it before going live.

6. Review and publication

Templates move from draft, to in review, to live. Submitting a template starts a review; we may approve it, or reject it with a note explaining what needs to change.

We may decline to publish a template, unpublish one that is already listed, or remove one that breaches these Terms or attracts a credible rights complaint. Where the circumstances allow it we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix the problem.

We do not guarantee that any template will be approved, that it will remain listed, that it will be featured, or that it will be applied by any number of users.

7. Template standards

Templates you submit must not:

  • infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, design right, or other intellectual property;
  • contain unlawful, obscene, hateful, or deceptive content;
  • include malicious code, trackers, hidden redirects, or anything that exfiltrates data from a site owner or their visitors;
  • load resources from third-party hosts you do not control, or embed analytics that report to you;
  • impersonate another brand, or present themselves as an official template of a company you do not represent;
  • deliberately degrade, break, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the platform.

8. AI features and AI credits

The portal includes AI-assisted authoring, metered in credits sold at BDT 2.00 per credit through SSLCommerz. There is no subscription fee for the developer portal.

AI features are powered by Amazon Bedrock. When you use them, your prompt, your conversation history, and a structural snapshot of the template you are working on (page names and URIs, short previews of element text, design tokens, and the field schemas and item counts of your collections) are sent to the model.

AI output is generated automatically. We do not warrant that it is accurate, original, or non-infringing. You are responsible for reviewing anything the AI produces before you submit a template containing it.

9. No payouts

Publishing a template to the gallery does not currently entitle you to any payment, revenue share, or royalty. Templates are listed for platform users to apply at no separate charge to them.

If we introduce paid templates or a revenue share in future, it will be under separate terms that you would have to accept.

10. Availability and support

We aim to keep the portal available and to give reasonable notice of planned maintenance, but the developer portal carries no uptime service level agreement.

Support is available at contact@builder-hut.com.

11. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the portal at any time.

We may suspend or terminate a developer account that breaches these Terms or is used unlawfully. On termination your drafts stop being accessible; templates already applied to users' sites remain with those users, as described in section 3.

12. Disclaimers

The portal is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Builder Hut is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, or for lost profits, lost opportunity, or lost or corrupted work.

Our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the portal is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Builder Hut harmless against claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from templates you submit, including any claim that a template or its demo content infringes a third party's rights.

15. Changes

We may change the portal and these Terms. When we make a material change we will update the date at the top of this page and give notice where the change materially affects your rights.

16. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. The courts of Dhaka, Bangladesh have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to them.

17. Contact

Questions about these Terms can be sent to contact@builder-hut.com, or by post to Rakibul Islam Rafi, Vatara, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
